Hello again. No I didn't fall off a bridge... I've just been crazy busy. I wanted to get the Blog going again and try to stick to a strict blogging schedule. So here I am. With this session... we knew we wanted an Urban Feel. You can never go wrong with Bricks.... but honestly, when your scoping out locations, it's more about the light than anything else. I always say you can take a good picture Anywhere... as long as there is good light. I had the honor of photographing this Fantastic Family (clear my throat...my family) and we all had a really good time. xoxo

Photo Shoot All for ME ...

My beautiful Niece is growing so fast. I don't get to see her often enough, but when I do... she look more grown up every time. I thought that today needed a photo shoot just for her....

She's been waiting to get her hands on these pics... but I told her I have to see her again to have the actual copies....LOL. I'm a mean Auntie I tell ya!

Something Different | HB Photographer

The weather couldn't have been more beautiful today. The warm sunlight with a slight chill in the air equals a Great day in Huntington Beach, CA. Now I'm not gonna lie about being somewhat worried about how bright out it was. As any photographer can tell you, the bright bright light is never a fantastic thing, but what can you do? You work with it and use it the best you can. I know they wanted some taken on the Beach. I have this thing... this secret photography crush on Alleyways. I'll look for them, and if I know they're around, well my friend, you're gonna get some cool shots in the alley. It's nice to do something different for my clients. I know they probably have never had photos taken in an alleyway. So if I can make it fun and different... That's what I'm gonna do.

Urban and Sweet

So I received an email from a long time friend. OK. So, she wasn't really my friend growing up, but my sisters. I was just the little tag along sister that had to be cool too. Well, guess what? When you reach a certain age in life, it doesn't matter how old you are anymore... We're just all cool.

So I had the honor of photographing this Good Lookin Family and doing something a little different. We did a few Urban shots that looked stunning. Then we went and played Dress up... YAY! I love dress up. Such a great memory that Mom will have documented forever. I have to say, that having a daughter you treasure these moments and you never want to forget them.

I really love when families have a style in mind. I know a lot of you don't, so don't think I hate you... There is nothing I love more than doing my own little thing. I get the look sometimes like, ummmm What is this Lady DOing? BUT, I really enjoy taking your ideas and just playing around with them. This family wanted the whole Urban Theme. WEll, when I hear Urban, I think street, brick, buildings blah blah blah.... all that fun stuff. So for this shoot I only had this couple risk their life only once on a busy intersection.... lol... no seriously. "Kids, you stand here on the side walk and watch mommy and daddy go run out in the middle of the street and Kiss... OK?" Fun, Crazy Fun... it's all the same. I'd love to see these on a huge Canvas and that may happen on day when I have an Office....lol. Not any time soon though...
