{ EPIC }

I LOVE how all my Senior Photo Shoots show someone Different. They're REAL. They're FUN. They're FRESH. Did I mention FUN? I have to say that You're there to be Yourself, and I'm there to capture it.

I was so honored when I was asked to photograph these Beautiful Girls. They are Best Friends and both so very Talented. We met a few days before the shoot just to talk a little about what they had in mind. So this is what we came up with... Thank you girls so much for trusting in me... I had A LOT of Fun!

You + Me + She = THREE

OK, So I've noticed my titles getting a little more and more Lame. But I seriously thought it was cute. It sounds great right now, but maybe in a few days I might look back and think ... "ummmm, Hello...what are you thinking?" Maybe I need to read more .. I'm going to just throw this out there, but I only read TWILIGHT over and over again. Yes it's true. Twilight, and the occasional People Magazine...(and a TON of Photography BOOKS-even the way too boring ones)
So back to my post...

This family, I had never met before. They had seen my work through a friend of ours and then contacted me. I swear, my clients are the BOMB! This is really how my business took off so Fast and I Thank them Everyday. This was their first little girl and she seriously couldn't be any CUTER... We just did an "At Home Shoot" and the photos are Adorable. She is quite the Little Model.

Photography Friends

A few months ago I was able to attend a Photography Workshop. My first One actually. I never get to attend any of these things because A; they are usually WAY TOO Expensive or B; Hello, I have 3 children and very Little HELP. So, I heard of the great deal and I felt as though I couldn't pass it up. Through out this whole business adventure, I haven't really had a chance to meet many people that do what I do. So it's always nice when you attend these kinds of things to meet others that do what you Love to do and share similar stories. It really makes me feel like maybe, just maybe I'm doing something Right...
So I was so happy to meet this Photo Momma. We exchanged info. and then that was that. She contacted me shortly after and asked if I could take their Family Photos. Well that didn't make me nervous. LOL. There are so many amazing Photographers out there, but whenever I'm asked by ANY family. I just feel so blessed and honored. Really. I love what I do, and I'm just going to give it all my all every time...

The Best Lighting EVER!!

Did I mention the Best LIGHTING?

Oh How I LOVE the RAIN...

So I know I have a lot of catching up to do with this Blog of mine... but I needed to post some photos from today before I totally forget. I'm assuming it's the same as scrapbooking right? You always should start with your most recent while it's still fresh in your mind...
Well, It's been raining for the past few days here and instead of being angry at So-Cal drivers that don't know how to drive in the rain... I thought I'd stay home and get some work done. It seems like my work is Never Ending... So I decided to take a breather and go outside... but if I go outside... so does my little shadow... She must see at all times where I'm going, what I'm doing, who I'm talking to... The girl has to know OK? So my trip to my car for some fresh air totally turned in to a really cute Photo Shoot. Yep, I just gave myself some more WORK... as much as I want to call this all WORK... It's really More FUN!

I'm BACK!!!

So, after many many tears, Yes... I cried. The BLOG is Back... (somewhat)
Like I don't have enough on my plate... Little ol me decided to one day change up the Blog. So I went in and picked out an ever so simple background and added it in... Well it was in alright... and in so much, that it cut off Half my Photos. Every Photo Shoot was cut in half. Now I'm sure most of you would have thought WOW... She's not Half Bad.... Ahhhh HA HA HA HA... Ok... yes I think i'm funny...
So I just didn't go to it anymore. I went on Blogging STRIKE!
Tonight was the first night I worked up the guts to take it on again... and here is the outcome. It's not Bad, but you know this is as good as it's gonna get for a while. I honestly care more about my Photos then work on this Lame-O blog.
So Enjoy Everyone... It's made me CRY

Just ME and My DAD.

I always enjoy shooting Father and Son. Such a Special Bond and definetly a moment to capture. These photos really show just that. I look forward to working with them again and again...

You + Me = FUN + a little more FUN

Ok, so it's a LAME title. I know. Who doesn't have Fun on a photo shoot with one of her Best Friends? It's fun taking photos that are Different. We all have the same photo looking into the camera with that Cheez-ie Smile... but when you're in an Orange Grove.... Come ON... lol. You must have fun in an Orange Grove.
We also visited a few other great Locations.. . Some locations even required a police officer to escort us... YA! Thank you. We had FUN!

I can say this a million times, but I REALLY REALLY love meeting and seeing new faces... Seriously. Maybe the waitress (of 8 years) comes out in me and I just can talk and talk and talk. See, here i go again. or. maybe I just have this passion for Families, Love and Life. Togetherness is something we must cherish...

Baby # 3

I am so happy for this little family. I was happy to work with them again with their third baby. I am truely blessed to have such great families that support me and trust in me.
Newborn photos can always be a little time consuming, as they should be. When you're working with such little clients, what's the rush? Little Mia was such a beautiful little model. Being able to capture these precious moements when time moves so fast is priceless.
I am very Thankful...

First Birthday

I can't believe how fast a year goes by. Seriously. Wasn't I just here photographing this beautiful little Newborn? Like last week right?
I'm so happy they invited me back to capture her First Birthday. It's really nice to have one less thing to worry about the day of a party. Photos being one of them. Yummmmmm. Look at those cupcakes.... Ok. Walk away from the cupcakes....

{Simple- at Home Photography}

I Heart this Family. Really. I do. They trusted in me back when I was starting out and we had such a fun shoot then... and had such a fun shoot now. We were talking about taking some natural "at Home" photos. I LOVE this idea, because I really don't think it's captured enough. Kids being at home where they are most comfortable really makes a Warm photo. Warm, Simple and Believable Photo.
They had a new addition to the family from when I last saw them... and my oh my what a handsome Boy. Once again, Happy and Blessed to be a part of this day....

Memories...

Being able to capture memories for friends and family has been such an honor. I'm so happy I was able to re-connect with my old friend. Yes OLD friend. I have photos of her and I dancing together, and now we have girls of our own that get to do the same. Now... I only have one, but my friend here was blessed with 2 beautiful Girls, and one of which is Celebrating her 1st Birthday. So much fun, and so happy I got to capture these memories for her.

Forever and Ever AMEN....

So the temperature called for HOT on this morning of August 22. Yes, HOT! Now it being August here in So-Cal, can we expect anything Cooler? Probably not.
I arrived early at the Beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center. I was first greeted by the lovely Sarah Katzka from Colettes Catering. They're work is Amazing! Now Sarah not only worked extremely hard on this wedding, but she was also in the Wedding. Yes... That's right. She's Mike's sister. So... She's setting up, working hard, getting it all ready, getting herself ready... OH and WAIT... She has four children... Who happen to be in the WEDDING!! Ahhhhhhhh! I was tired for her...lol. I started shooting right away. I shot most of my table settings as they were being set up. Joy (the BRIDE) then arrived and it was time to give her all my attention. She looked Stunning when she arrived. I guess it's that Wedding Day Glow that brides give off. I wouldn't know... I never had the BIG WEDDING... and that's probably why I'm so fascinated with it all. I always think, "How would I want my Wedding to be photographed, had I had one"?

Her hair was done by Renee Henry and Dolores Trejo from SALON D'TANGLES in Whittier. That Salon is such a fun bunch...and are always so sweet!
Video was done by Richard Trejo whom I barley got to talk to that night... we were both so busy through out the night that I never got all of his info. to give out. If anyone is interested in any of the names I give out, please let me know, but I will do my best to give them ALL credit.
Joys's dress was GORGE! I love love love that dress. Olga Cassini Line from David's Bridal gave it that Vintage Look...
I have to give Major credit to my Cousin Matthew Gerbers who showed up that day as my Second Shooter. As someone who knows photography and the Wedding Biz... It was great to have him by my side... and away from my side so he could focus more on the Groomsmen lookin all Sharp, we have Friar Tux Shop to thank for that.
So, I know I can go on FOREVER about this Amazing Day/Experience, and I know I'm missing so many names that were probably involved in making this day so Memorible... but I honestly can't wait to Post the Photos... They're wedding slideshow can also be viewed on my website http://www.desireeniumata.com/viewing/
